Does the app work offline?
Yes. FuelFile runs entirely offline — scanning, OCR, database and export. An internet connection is only needed to take out or restore the Pro subscription.
How do I scan a receipt?
Tap “Scan receipt,” photograph the fuel receipt, and the app recognises the date, station, amount, litres, price per litre and fuel type automatically. Alternatively you can enter data manually or import an existing photo or file.
How accurate is the text recognition?
OCR runs on-device and is very reliable for clearly legible receipts. Because receipts vary in layout, please review and correct the recognised fields before saving.
What is free and what does Pro cost?
Free: one vehicle, up to ten receipts, dashboard, manual entry and single export. Pro (subscription): unlimited vehicles and receipts, DATEV-CSV export including receipt photos, and batch export across a date range and multiple vehicles.
How do I restore my Pro subscription on a new device?
Use “Restore Purchases” in settings. Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID or Google account, so you can activate it on all your devices at no extra cost.
How do I cancel the subscription?
You manage and cancel subscriptions in the subscription settings of your Apple or Google account — not in the app itself.
How do I export receipts for DATEV?
In the export area, select the date range and vehicles and export as DATEV-CSV (with a PDF report). DATEV and batch export is a Pro feature.
How do I back up or delete my data?
From settings you can export all data as a JSON file (local backup) or delete it completely. No servers are involved — deletion is immediate and permanent.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) directly, according to their respective policies — we cannot process refunds ourselves.
